Halloween is also the shortened name of Allhalloween, All Hallows’ Evening, and All Saint’s Eve, which is celebrated on October 31st.

Halloween is not found in the Bible, but what is celebration and practices in this celebration are clearly found in the Bible that could be a guide to help us know how to handle Halloween.

SHOULD CHRISTIANS CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN?

If the Bible Is our Guide, then-No is the Simple Answer.

Ephesians 5:11, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.”

1 Thessalonians 5:22

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Some good questions to ask yourself are:

Does Halloween fill me with faith or fear?

Yes, Halloween celebrates fear—the theme of darkness, graves, blood, skulls, vampires, witches and wizards infuse fear.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

If God does not give us a spirit of fear but 365 times tells us not to fear, why will we invite fear by a celebration that breeds fear?

How I’m I honoring God in this celebration?

1 Corinthians 10:20

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

GOD’S DIRECTION CONCERNING WITCHCRAFT

Leviticus 20:27 tells us that anyone who practiced witchcraft, soothsaying, sorcery should be killed.

Deuteronomy 18:9-13 adds, “When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you … one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord.”

CAN EVIL SPIRITS DISGUISE THEMSELVES AS OTHERS?

Yes ~ 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, NIV. “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”

DO DEAD RELATIVES BECOME ANGELS?

God’s angels are heavenly beings, not spirits of dead humans. Angels have existed before humans were created. It’s in the Bible, Psalm 8:4-5, NKJV. “What is man that You [Lord] are mindful of him, and the Son of man, that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.”

There are evil spirits in this world that are the fallen angels who followed Satan in rebellion against God. It’s in the Bible, Revelation 12:9, NKJV. “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

DO LOVED ONES COME BACK TO HAUNT HOUSES?

No!

Job 7:9-10, NKJV. “As the cloud disappears and vanishes away, so he who goes down to the grave does not come up. He shall never return to his house, nor shall his place know him anymore.”

Psalm 146:4, ESV. “When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish.”

TESTIMONY BY A SATANIST WHO CONVERTED TO CHRISTIANITY

Well, know Christian evangelist(featured on Christian Broadcasting Network) who was once satanist warn against the celebration of Halloween.

A satanic priest was once quoted as saying,” He is thankful to Christian parents who allow their children to worship the devil on October 31st” Some who have been saved from such deception say it is considered one of the biggest days in satanism.

They share that they pray satanic prayers over customers and the candies to have access to the lives of, especially Christians.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT GHOST?

Let’s see how the Bible uses the word ghost.

Firstly in the phrase “to give up the ghost,” meaning “to die.

We also see it in the Holy Trinity the HolySpirit or Holy Ghost

The Bible refers to ghosts or spirits of the dead as “familiar spirits” and warns us against having anything to do with them.

Leviticus 19:31; Deuteronomy 18:11; 2 Kings 21:6; Isaiah 8:19

SHOULD CHRISTIANS BE AFRAID?

Psalm 91:9-11, NKJV. “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.”

Luke 10:19, NKJV. “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Meditate on God’s Word, and you’ll be filled with faith in God and flush out fear.

WHAT IF I CELEBRATED HALLOWEN IN THE PAST—HOW CAN I BE FREE?

He whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

Repent, Ask God for forgiveness and turn in the right direction.

Even the captive of the wicked shall be set free.

Isaiah 49:24-26

Plead the blood of Jesus over yourself and your loved ones.

Revelations 12:7-11
